Growing Minds, Growing Gardens Grant - Open

Empowering Youth Through Gardening Education

Project Roots is excited to invite local educators and Title 1 schools to apply for our Growing Minds, Growing Gardens grant, generously funded by the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation. This unique opportunity provides schools with the resources needed to introduce hands-on gardening education through the use of Tower Gardens.

Selected schools will receive:

• 1 Tower Garden, an innovative vertical growing system perfect for indoor or outdoor spaces.

• Seedlings and supplies to get the garden up and running.

• Ongoing educational support to ensure successful integration into your classroom or program.

This grant is designed to:

• Engage students with hands-on learning about growing food, sustainability, and healthy eating.

• Promote healthier habits by exposing students to fresh, nutritious produce that they help grow.

• Inspire curiosity and foster a connection between youth and the environment.

The Tower Gardens will be distributed between May and June 2025, in preparation for the 2025-2026 school year.

We are looking for passionate educators who are eager to bring the benefits of gardening to their students and school communities. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your curriculum and create a lasting impact on students’ understanding of food, nature, and health.
